All public transit users are required to wear a face mask. As a consequence, the government has decided to offer free face masks to selected groups of residents.

Starting on Monday August 24th, the Municipality of Aarhus will begin distributing free face masks to people on social assistance benefits, people on integration allowance and members of other socially disadvantaged groups. This is because purchasing face masks would be a significant financial burden for members of these groups.

The face masks will be distributed during normal opening hours at the following addresses:

Citizens’ Services at DOKK1, Hack Kampmanns Plads 2

  • Jægergården, Værkmestergade 15 B
  • Værestedet, Jægergårdsgade 107
  • Rusmiddelcenter Aarhus, Sumatravej 3

The face mask requirement for users of public transit will remain in force until at least October 31st. (In Danish)
